Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join a leading Building Structures team on a permanent basis. You will deliver structural analysis and design for diverse buildings and contribute to projects across the built environment.

You will collaborate with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams, progress toward chartership, and mentor junior engineers while supporting BIM-enabled design and digital engineering practices. Flexible and supportive work environment offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Membership of ICE, IStructE, or another relevant professional institution.
• Progress towards Chartered Engineer status.
• Experience designing structures in steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry.
• Strong understanding of Eurocodes and current design standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of buildings using various construction materials.
• Deliver engineering solutions from early-stage concepts to detailed design.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Support project delivery to programme and budget requirements.
• Participate in client meetings and technical workshops.
• Conduct site inspections and attending project review meetings.
• Produce technical calculations, reports, and design documentation.
• Contribute to BIM-led design and digital engineering processes.
• Support junior engineers and share technical knowledge across the team.
