We are approaching our fourth anniversary and have already established ourselves as a thriving structural and civil engineering consultancy with huge potential for growth. Based in Truro and operating throughout Devon and Cornwall, we work on a wide variety of residential and commercial projects, from small domestic alterations to large multi-million-pound developments in unique locations.

You will be responsible for the detailed structural design and analysis of concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures. You will work closely with architects and other design professionals to deliver projects on time and to the highest standard. In the absence of our Technical Director, you may also take the technical lead, mentoring and guiding the existing team.
Key duties include:
Leading structural engineering design projects from concept to tender stage
Managing project delivery, budgets, invoicing, and client relationships
Conducting site visits and inspections to ensure design compliance
Preparing project reviews, fee proposals, and tender documentation
Supporting business development by building relationships with design practices, contractors, and clients
Assisting with marketing, recruitment, and other business needs
MEng/BEng degree in Structural Engineering
Chartered or working towards Chartered Membership of IStructE
3–4 years’ proven consultancy experience (senior engineer level preferred)
Strong technical knowledge and proven track record in project delivery
Confident leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Familiarity with standard engineering practices, techniques, and procedures
Experience in Party Wall Surveys (desirable but not essential)
