What Does the Role Entail?As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will take the lead in structural design calculations, ensuring all projects align with British Standards and Euro Codes. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. You'll also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, managing smaller projects independently, and contributing to larger schemes as part of a dynamic team. Additionally, you will be involved in business development activities, assisting with fee proposals and tender submissions to support the company's continued growth.
What Skills Will You Have?To thrive in this role, you should have a strong technical background in structural engineering with a solid understanding of British Standards and Design Codes. You should be proficient in Tekla, CADS, and Tedds, with knowledge of AutoCAD considered an advantage. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple projects and solve complex engineering challenges with confidence. Ideally, you will be Chartered or working towards Chartership with the IStructE or ICE, and have a minimum of five years experience in a similar role.
