Senior Structural Engineer
Leeds

Calibre Search are working alongside one of the leading multi-disciplinary Design Consultancies in the UK. As a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services for projects worldwide, they are looking to add a Senior Structural Engineer into their busy Leeds office to deliver a variety of projects across various sectors including defence, blue light and life sciences throughout the UK

As a Structural Engineer, you will be involved in technically diverse projects and will deliver innovative design solutions across a broad range of clients across multiple sectors. Forging a strong relationship with every client you will support the project Director and lead teams of engineers and technicians to deliver the project, providing structural engineering design and technical reports and managing the delivery of the wider team. Ideally, your portfolio will encompass a wider range of projects undertaking design in both steelwork and concrete and you will have knowledge of both British Standards and Eurocodes and their implementation

You will lead teams of Engineers and Technicians to deliver projects across the region and liaise with the wider business disciplines to coordinate design and manage specialist input/surveys. You will provide technical assistance to the members of the structural engineering team and assist other members of the structural engineering team to ensure project delivery within agreed timescales and budgets. You will be expected to exercise a degree of autonomy in decision making related to the accomplishment of the team's objectives and assist in the contract administration of projects and ensure that time and budgetary requirements are met. As you will liaise with clients, architects, contractors and other consultants, it is essential that you ensure compliance with all legislation, regulations and site procedures or instructions

To succeed in this role, you must have experience in the use of structural engineering design software (ideally Tekla Structural Designer or SCIA Engineer) and also in the use of REVIT to interrogate models and preferably also AutoCAD.

Educated to degree level in Civil or Structural Engineering, you will have Chartered status with the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and a minimum of five years' experience working in a structural engineering consultancy environment. You will ideally hold security clearance to a minimum of SC level but if not then be willing to apply for the necessary clearance

A full UK drivers license is required for this position.
