Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd in Barnsley, England, invites a Senior Design Engineer to take ownership of structural steel solutions from concept through to delivery. You will design and analyse safe, buildable structures for UK and European projects, using industry-standard software and your practical engineering insight.

• Substantial experience in a structural design environment.
• Strong understanding of structural mechanics and engineering principles.
• Experience with steelwork and practical buildability.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyse structural steel solutions that are safe, efficient and compliant with relevant standards.
• Develop calculations and design solutions using industry-standard structural engineering software.
• Assess loadings, stresses and load paths to ensure structural integrity and buildability.
• Communicate with clients and professionals interpreting drawings, specs and project requirements.
• Contribute to tenders and bids with engineering input for viable solutions.
• Provide technical input and progress updates to clients and senior management while keeping projects on track.
