Novax Recruitment Group seeks a Senior Design Engineer in Wakefield to lead structural steel design from concept to detail. You will assess load paths, perform calculations and develop practical solutions in collaboration with clients and multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of structural mechanics and engineering principles.
Ability to assess loadings, stresses and load paths.
Experience using structural engineering software.

Responsibilities

Design structural steel solutions from initial requirements through to detailed engineering.
Analyse structures, applying loadings and assessing stresses and load paths.
Develop calculations and design information using industry-standard engineering software.
Collaborate with clients, project teams and other professionals to turn requirements into workable designs.
Deliver solutions considering structural integrity, buildability, compliance and cost.
Support tenders and projects with technical input, calculations and progress reporting.
