Job summary

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a principal psychologist to lead its stroke psychology service within Mid Essex Stroke Services. The role involves one-to-one and group work with stroke survivors and families, multidisciplinary collaboration, and supervisory duties across wards, clinics, home visits, and remote care.

The post requires doctoral-level training with HCPC equivalence and HCPC registration.

Qualifications

• Completed doctoral level training with HCPC equivalence.
• HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist.
• Experience with physical health conditions and supervision of staff.
• Demonstrated leadership in service development or change.

Responsibilities

• Lead the stroke psychology service as part of the senior leadership team.
• Deliver one-to-one and group interventions for stroke survivors and families.
• Carry out neuropsychological assessment and formulate rehabilitation plans.
• Collaborate with MDTs, provide consultation and training.
• Supervise qualified and non-qualified staff and drive service development.
