Job summary

Airbus Belfast Limited is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Stress) to lead structural stress analysis across metallic and composite airframes, directing teams of engineers to ensure qualification and certification of designs.

You will own technical definitions, schedules and budgets, interact with customers and authorities, and drive test campaigns and approval of drawings and reports. A BSc/BEng with 3+ years' stress engineering experience is required, with leadership experience.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in engineering with 3+ years in stress engineering; includes management or PM duties.
• Proven leadership in stress analysis for sizing primary airframe structures.
• Experience with metallic and composite aircraft materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead stress engineering activities across design development and certification.
• Oversee technical definitions, planning, and budgets for stress projects.
• Coordinate with design, loads, materials, manufacturing and test teams.
• Interface with customers and certification authorities to meet requirements.
• Review drawings and certification reports for compliance.
