Morson Group in West Yorkshire is seeking a Stress and Performance Engineer to assess mechanical designs for strength, durability and safety using FEA and hand calculations. You will support validation of power transmission components within a high-integrity environment.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, solid experience in stress and fatigue analysis, and the ability to interpret standards and communicate technical findings across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with mechanical stress analysis using static and fatigue methods.
• Proficiency with FEA tools and interpreting results for decisions.
• Understanding of materials properties and processing techniques.
• Knowledge of structural analysis and component integrity assessment.
• Ability to apply engineering standards and design protocols.

• Assess designs for strength, durability, performance and safety using analytical methods including FEA and hand calculations.
• Conduct static stress and fatigue analysis to support validation activities.
• Recommend design improvements and alternative methods where needed.
• Provide technical analysis to multidisciplinary teams for robust designs.
• Review analytical results and ensure technical accuracy and integrity.
• Maintain engineering analysis procedures and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Support concession requests with technical assessments.
• Produce technical docs and drawings to communicate findings.
