Job summary

Collins Aerospace is expanding its ASG electric thrust reverser actuation centre of excellence in Wolverhampton. We seek a Senior Stress Engineer to perform structural analysis across concept to production, using classical methods and FEA to verify designs and safety margins.

You will work within a team of technical innovators, reporting to the UK Site Lead, with travel <10% and a strong focus on delivering robust engineering solutions for next-generation nacelle actuation systems.

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree-level in Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrated stress analysis experience.
• Working knowledge of structural FEA and material behavior.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preliminary sizing analysis and conceptual design support.
• Perform classical and computational analysis of gears, splines, threads and bearings.
• Produce technical reports and summaries for internal/external customers.
• Support the development of capability for technology roadmaps.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams across design, test and production.
