Job summary

Safran is seeking a skilled Senior Stress Engineer to support the design and development of advanced hydraulic, mechanical, geared, and electro‑mechanical actuation systems. Working across the full product lifecycle, you will perform preliminary and detailed structural analysis to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance.

• Strong understanding of classical stress analysis methods.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in structural analysis environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary sizing and structural analysis for actuation systems.
• Deliver stress analysis on hydraulic actuators, gearboxes, and mechanical systems.
• Apply classical and computational techniques to assess strength and durability.
• Evaluate stress, fatigue life and failure modes of gears, bearings and screws.
• Produce technical reports and recommendations for decisions.
• Present findings to internal teams and customers.
• Collaborate across the product lifecycle with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support manufacturing through root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
