As a Senior Strategic Finance Associate, you’ll leverage your strong financial, analytical, and communication skills to become the go-to expert on financial and commercial matters for the UK region. Xero is growing, and you will be a key driver of this momentum. You’ll be involved in key decision-making and providing strategic direction for the business. This role is critical in focusing resources and investments in the right areas to achieve outcomes in the UK, one of Xero’s most important markets.
What you’ll do
- Strategic Decision Making: Work independently on various projects, helping teams assess the financial and commercial impact of new initiatives and building strong business cases for regional and global leadership review.
- Financial Analysis & Insights: Conduct analyses and synthesize data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the full P&L. Present clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Planning & Forecasting: Support monthly forecasting and annual planning, providing visibility to regional leadership on business direction.
- Cost & Efficiency Management: Monitor and optimize costs by ensuring proper recording of spend, identifying improvement areas, and supporting initiatives that balance revenue growth with efficiency.
- Financial Modelling & Reporting: Build and maintain models to evaluate scenarios, inform business cases, and generate timely reports for decision-making.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with regional leadership and other teams to align financial goals, communicate insights, and respond to information requests.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with senior members of the finance team to deliver key activities and foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.

Experience
- Relevant Finance Experience: 3-5 years in strategic finance, FP&A, or similar, ideally in a high-growth tech or SaaS company.
- Analytical Rigor: Strong problem-solving skills and a mindset for continuous improvement.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related; professional qualifications like ACA, CFA, CPA preferred.
- Proven Track Record: Experience in financial modeling, influencing leadership, and driving strategic financial outcomes.
