As a Senior Strategic Finance Associate, you’ll leverage your strong financial, analytical, and communication skills to become the go-to expert on all things financial and commercial for the UK region. Xero is growing, and you will be a key part of driving this momentum forward. You’ll be involved in key decision-making and providing strategic direction for the business. This role is critical for focusing resources and investments in the right areas to drive outcomes in the UK, one of Xero’s most important markets.

What you’ll do

1. Strategic Decisions Making: Work autonomously on various projects, helping teams size the financial and commercial impact of new initiatives and build strong business cases for regional and global leadership review.
2. Financial Analysis & Insights: Conduct financial analyses, synthesize data to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities across the full P&L, and present clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.
3. Planning & Forecasting: Support monthly forecasting and annual planning efforts, providing visibility to regional leadership on business direction.
4. Cost & Efficiency Management: Help monitor and optimize costs, ensure proper recording of spend, identify areas for improvement, and support initiatives balancing revenue growth with efficiency.
5. Financial Modelling & Reporting: Build and maintain financial models to evaluate scenarios, inform business cases, and provide timely reports for decision-making.
6. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with regional leadership and other teams to ensure alignment with financial goals, communicate insights, and respond to information requests.
7. Team Collaboration: Partner with senior members of the Strategic Finance team to deliver key activities and foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and excellence.

Experience

• Relevant Finance Experience: 3-5 years in strategic finance, financial planning & analysis, preferably in high-growth tech or SaaS.
• Analytical Rigor: Superior skills in analysis and problem-solving, with a mindset for continuous improvement.
• Education: Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related; professional qualifications like ACA, CFA, CPA preferred.
• Proven Track Record: Experience in financial modeling, influencing leadership, and driving strategic outcomes.
