Job summary

Autism Bedfordshire is seeking a driven Senior Team Leader to oversee our Stay & Play Group in Leighton Buzzard. You will manage staff, plan sessions, and supervise Saturday activities for autistic children aged 3-12, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment while supporting families.

This term-time, fortnightly role runs 9am-1:45pm with a pay of £13.99 per hour plus holiday pay. You will work closely with Children’s Services and volunteers to maintain high standards of care, safeguarding, and

Qualifications

• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience in health/education/social care roles and managing challenging behaviour.
• Knowledge of autism and safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and planning activities for Stay & Play sessions.
• Ensuring Health & Safety compliance during sessions.
• Prioritising the welfare of staff, volunteers and service users.
• Handling First Aid and accident reporting.
• Implementing Fire and Emergency procedures as required.
• Supporting and promoting safeguarding initiatives.
• Managing and assisting Team Leaders, paid staff and volunteers.
• Performing administrative duties and other related tasks.
