Main duties of the job

As a Senior Staff Nurse in our Ambulatory Care Unit, you'll provide clinical care to patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures, cardiac interventions, endoscopy, and some medical procedures. You will supervise the team on shift, ensuring safe, high standards of care and customer service, optimizing patient flow, and providing support to and deputising for the Unit Manager.

About us

Our 12-space Ambulatory Care Unit delivers care for those undergoing surgical and medical procedures who do not need to stay overnight. We treat patients across a range of specialties including cardiology, general surgery, orthopaedics, and gynaecology. The hospital also features 3 main theatres, a day theatre/endoscopy unit, a cardiac catheterisation lab, a 29-bedded ward, and a busy outpatient department, supported by physiotherapy, pharmacy, and cardiac physiologist services. The unit operates 6 days a week between 07:00 and approximately 20:30.
