Job summary

Omnicell is building a Global Cloud Operations organization in a hybrid environment. This senior SRE hire will define the practice, set standards for SLOs, incidents, observability, and drive AI-driven operations in a regulated healthcare context.

You will craft incident response, own the platform’s reliability metrics, and mentor the initial SRE team while partnering with Product, Engineering, and Security to ensure HIPAA/SOC 2 compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading SRE/DevOps teams in a cloud-native setting.
• 8+ years in software/platform engineering, with 4+ years in SRE/DevOps.
• Experience operating in regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2).

Responsibilities

• Define and publish SLOs/SLIs for Tier-1 services with budgets.
• Design incident command structure and train Incident Commanders.
• Select and standardize observability stack and instrumentation standards.
• Migrate interim incident response RACI into durable SRE model.
• Establish on-call rotation, incl. compensation, paging, handoffs.
• Develop and track KPIs (MTTR, SLO attainment, change-failure, cost).
• Hands-on scripting and infra-as-code contributions (Terraform).
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.
• Collaborate with security/compliance for regulated environments.
