Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead reliability of cloud-hosted services and drive scalability and operational excellence. You will partner with engineering, platform and product teams to deliver robust cloud solutions in a hybrid setup.

Required are SRE/DevOps expertise, cloud experience (GCP), scripting, IaC with Terraform, and strong problem-solving skills to reduce toil and improve customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• SRE & Service Engineering skills with experience improving reliability, availability, and supportability of production services.
• DevOps expertise including automation, CI/CD and collaborative software delivery practices.
• Strong experience with public cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong scripting or programming capability (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Problem Solving and Critical Thinking in diagnosing complex incidents.

Responsibilities

• Lead operation, reliability, scalability and performance of cloud-hosted applications and services.
• Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and strengthen resilience.
• Partner with engineering, platform and product teams to improve cloud solutions and security data platforms.
• Lead incident response, investigations and root cause analysis with measurable improvements.
• Develop observability, monitoring and alerting providing actionable health insights.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards and communities.
