Job summary

Omnicell seeks a Director of Site Reliability Engineering to establish and lead a global SRE organization. You will define enterprise reliability standards, governance, and automation strategies, partnering with Cloud Platform Engineering, Security, Product Engineering and Enterprise Architecture to ensure highly available cloud services.

You will drive production readiness, observability, and capacity planning, mentor senior engineers, and shape the engineering culture toward reliability,

Qualifications

• Experience building and leading global SRE teams.
• Ability to define engineering standards, governance, and technical leadership expectations.
• Strong collaboration with Product Engineering, Cloud Platform Engineering, Security, and Enterprise Architecture.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale Omnicell’s global Site Reliability Engineering organization.
• Define engineering standards, career development frameworks, and technical leadership expectations.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
• Develop service‑aligned SRE engagement models with Product Engineering teams.
• Own enterprise reliability framework including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and guardrails.
• Partner with Product Engineering and Cloud Platform Engineering to embed reliability throughout the software lifecycle.
• Establish a Production Engineering practice focused on improving operational characteristics of cloud services.
• Lead initiatives to reduce toil, enable self‑healing platforms, and improve deployment safety.
