Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Manager - SRE to lead a small team and scale the AI/ML Data Platform within the CDAO structure. You will tackle complex cloud data platform challenges, especially around Data Lake Tools, in an agile environment with cross-functional collaboration.

The role emphasizes reliability, automation, and security as you drive platform design, incident response, and operational excellence across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with SRE concepts: SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident management.
• Ability to manage a technical SRE team of engineers.
• Experience with AI-enabled reliability workflows including data sensitivity awareness.
• Familiarity with AWS, Databricks, or Snowflake administration and engineering support.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of Site Reliability Engineers and supports critical applications 24x7.
• Implements SRE best practices to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of data platforms.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve stability.
• Scales and maintains a managed AWS Databricks platform and provides support to multiple teams.
• Drives reuse-first adoption of enterprise AI capabilities with human-in-the-loop validation and data handling.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to probe designs and applicability.
• Drives observability, alerting, and capacity planning improvements.
• Collaborates to optimize infrastructure and deployment processes with automation and operational excellence.
• Performs platform design, setup, configuration, and workspace administration for multiple teams.
• Develops secure production code and reviews code written by others.
• Contributes to a culture of diversity, opportunity, and respect.
• Develops incident response procedures including root cause analysis and postmortems.
