Job summary

Evri is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Team Lead) to mentor a six‑engineer team while hands‑on with AWS, platform engineering, and cloud‑native architecture. The role focuses on reliability, scalability and observability across business‑critical services used by millions of customers annually.

You will drive architectural decisions, champion modern cloud practices and guide complex initiatives to modernise the estate, including container adoption and CI/CD automation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, mentoring or managing engineers within an SRE/Platform/Cloud environment.
• Strong hands-on AWS architecture experience at scale.
• Experience with AWS CDK and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of VPC design, security groups and IAM.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Site Reliability Engineers.
• Provide technical leadership across cloud and platform engineering initiatives.
• Define and drive engineering standards, reliability practices and operational excellence.
• Lead design discussions to ensure scalable, secure, maintainable solutions.
• Improve platform reliability, resiliency, and observability.
• Drive modernization initiatives including containers, automation and observability.
• Build and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting and observability systems.
• Define and measure SLIs/SLOs and service metrics.
• Drive automation to reduce manual toil and improve delivery.
• Support teams in solving complex availability and performance challenges.
• Act as escalation point during major incidents and improvements.
