Thought Machine is building cloud-native core banking and payments platforms. This SRE role focuses on automating fleet management, ensuring high reliability, and mentoring the team.

You will work with senior stakeholders and customers on critical programs that scale with the company's growth. You will collaborate across engineering to drive design discussions, implement robust runbooks, and maintain production vault environments.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering high-impact, scalable projects.
• Strong understanding of hosting/networking design patterns.
• Driven to build exceptional products, not just solve immediate issues.
• High-agency individual capable of driving projects independently.
• Experience with Python or Golang on large-scale initiatives.
• Experience with Kubernetes or comparable container orchestration.

Responsabilités

• Participate in design discussions, RFCs and code reviews to build fault-tolerant, scalable apps.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, backup, redundancy and capacity planning strategies.
• Be part of a global on-call rotation to identify and fix bottlenecks in SaaS environments.
• Perform regular maintenance of production systems hosting Vault products.
• Define features that improve reliability and user experience for SaaS products.
• Test and evolve DR strategies to ensure resilience and fault tolerance.
• Document assets, processes and runbooks for day-to-day operations.
• Mentor teammates and grow technical skills within the Vault product domain.
