Job summary

Hyra is seeking a Senior SQL Technical Systems Engineer to provide specialist application support, project delivery and technical expertise across housing enterprise systems. This hybrid role requires 2 days per week in the Birmingham office and focuses on ensuring service continuity during a busy six-month period.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Application Support, Systems Analysis or Service Transition roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and administration across housing systems.
• Support the delivery of business-critical projects alongside BAU operations.
• Manage software releases, upgrades, patches and system changes.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues through root cause analysis.
• Support system testing, UAT and test script development.
• Work with stakeholders to gather business requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Produce and support reports using SQL Server and SSRS.
• Maintain system documentation, configurations and support procedures.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal Digital Services teams to ensure application stability.
• Support knowledge transfer and strengthening capability within the Applications team.
• The role will come with hybrid working flexibility, with 2 days per week expected in the Birmingham office.
