Job summary

Dudley Building Society is seeking an experienced Microsoft SQL Developer to join our IT team. You will develop and maintain technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.

Key duties include designing, implementing, and supporting SQL Server databases, SSRS/SSIS processes, and cloud integrations. Strong communication and collaboration across teams are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in Financial Services.
• Translate high-level requirements into technical solutions, understanding data flows between systems.
• Design, build, and maintain SQL Server databases and related data solutions.
• Experience with SQL Server scripts, functions and stored procedures.
• Exposure to Reporting Services (SSRS) and Integration Services (SSIS).

Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices.
• Design and implement data solutions aligned with business requirements and best practices.
• Prepare technical solution documents and specifications for development.
• Monitor database performance and oversee necessary implementation changes.
• Provide technical support for upgrades, backups, recovery, and migrations.
• Coach and mentor IT team on technical operations as needed.
• Collaborate with team members, stakeholders and third parties for project execution.
• Maintain compliance with Data Protection Policy.
