Circle Integrated Care South West Hertfordshire is seeking a Senior Sports Therapist on a bank basis to join the Physiotherapy department. The role involves managing a complex caseload, delivering MSK assessment, treatment and rehabilitation, and supporting intermittent staffing needs across busy periods.

Applicants should hold a Degree in Sports Therapy, be BASRaT or SST member, and have substantial post-registration experience within NHS or private healthcare.

Responsabilidades

Salary: Up to £21.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Senior Sports Therapist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.

This is a bank role working on an "as and when required" basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• Manage a complex clinical caseload, providing comprehensive musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation to the highest professional standards.
• Deliver evidence-based treatment programmes for patients presenting with a wide range of musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, sports injury and rehabilitation conditions.
• Develop and implement personalised treatment plans that support patients in achieving optimal recovery and functional outcomes.
• Participate in pre-admission assessments and post-operative rehabilitation pathways where appropriate.
• Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans based on clinical outcomes and patient goals.
• Maintain accurate, timely and comprehensive patient records in line with professional and organisational standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, consultants, GPs and other healthcare professionals involved in patient care.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Degree in Sports Therapy or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Membership of BASRaT (British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers) or Society of Sports Therapists (SST).
• Significant post-registration experience managing musculoskeletal and sports injury caseloads.
• Experience working within NHS commissioned healthcare services.
• Advanced musculoskeletal assessment and treatment skills.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based rehabilitation principles.
• Knowledge of professional codes, standards and guidelines relevant to Sports Therapy practice.
• Knowledge of CQC requirements, Care Standards legislation and quality assurance frameworks.
• Experience supporting and developing junior staff.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Competent IT skills including clinical systems, Microsoft Office and electronic patient records.
• GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and prioritise effectively.
• Postgraduate qualification in Musculoskeletal Practice, Sports Rehabilitation or related specialty.
• Experience working within private healthcare.
• Experience supporting accreditation programmes and quality assurance initiatives.
• Experience participating in audit, research or service development projects.
• Additional qualifications in exercise rehabilitation, manual therapy or specialist MSK interventions.
• Clinical educator, mentorship or supervision qualification.
• Experience supporting multidisciplinary rehabilitation pathways.
