Job summary

Chiltern Way Academy Trust is seeking a passionate, senior Speech & Language Therapist to lead a specialist SLT service for pupils with highly complex needs. You will deliver targeted interventions, embed communication strategies across the curriculum and work closely with staff, families and external professionals.

The role requires HCPC and RCSLT registration, and experience with ASC, SEMH and complex communication needs, along with strong leadership and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist, outcome-focused speech and language interventions for pupils with SLCN.
• Embed strategies across the curriculum to enable access to learning.
• Collaborate with staff, families and external professionals for holistic support.
• Lead development and delivery of a specialist SLT service for highly complex needs.
• Provide advanced clinical expertise and oversee therapy provision across sites.
• Strategically embed communication approaches school-wide.
• Deliver training, supervision and staff development.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary work and contribute to service development and QA.
• Provide clinical leadership within responsibility area.
