Job summary

Chiltern Way Academy Trust in the United Kingdom is seeking a senior Speech and Language Therapist to lead a specialist SLT service for pupils with highly complex needs, ASC and SEMH. You will oversee therapy provision across sites and develop an outcome-focused, holistic approach.

The role includes staff training, strategic implementation of communication strategies, and collaboration with families, staff, and external professionals to raise learning access.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy with HCPC and RCSLT registration.
• Experience working with children and young people with ASC, SEMH, and complex communication needs.
• Strong communication, organisational, and collaborative working skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist, outcome-focused interventions for pupils with SLCN.
• Embed communication strategies across the curriculum to support access to learning.
• Work collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach.
• Lead the development and delivery of a specialist speech and language therapy service for pupils with highly complex needs.
• Provide advanced clinical expertise and oversee therapy provision across your site.
• Embed communication strategies across the curriculum at a strategic level.
• Deliver and oversee training, supervision, and staff development.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary working and contribute to service development and quality assurance.
• Provide clinical leadership within your area of responsibility.
