Job summary

West London NHS Trust is looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Physical Health AHP Team. You will manage a varied caseload of adults and older adults with communication and swallowing difficulties across inpatient wards, including dementia and stroke cases.

You’ll provide clinical leadership, supervise junior SLTs, and contribute to service development with the Team Manager’s support.

Qualifications

• Recognised SLT degree and HCPC/RCSLT registration are essential.
• RCSLT Dysphagia Competency Level C/D required; postgrad training desirable.
• Substantial post-qualification experience with adults and older adults.
• Experience supervising junior SLTs and delivering training.
• Ability to work autonomously within MDT and clinical governance.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a varied caseload across adult/older adult wards.
• Lead multidisciplinary care planning, risk management and decisions.
• Provide clinical supervision to junior SLTs and students.
• Contribute to service development, audits, and training.
