Job summary

West London NHS Trust is inviting an experienced Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to join the Physical Health AHP Team, supporting adults and older adults in mental health inpatient services. The role offers clinical leadership, development opportunities and supervision of junior colleagues, working with a multidisciplinary ward team.

• Senior SaLT with leadership and supervision responsibilities.
• Independent management of a varied adult and older adult caseload.
• Collaborate with ward MDTs including Dietitians and Physiotherapists.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment and management of communication and swallowing difficulties across adult and older adult mental health inpatient wards.
• Provide clinical supervision to junior SaLTs.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary care planning, clinical decision-making and risk management.
• Shape the SaLT service through training, quality improvement, audits and service development.
