Morson Edge is recruiting a Specification Consultant or Senior Specification Consultant to join our growing Specification Consultancy team in London or Manchester. You will produce detailed architectural specifications and interrogate designs to align with project objectives, contract requirements and performance criteria.

Qualifications

• Background in Architectural Technology, Architecture, Building Surveying or Specification Writing.
• Experience producing architectural specifications using NBS Chorus.
• Strong understanding of building construction, materials and detailing.
• Ability to coordinate specifications alongside drawings and BIM information.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed architectural specifications using NBS Chorus.
• Review architectural designs and develop coordinated project specifications.
• Work closely with Architects, Architectural Technologists, Building Surveyors and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Interrogate design proposals to ensure appropriate specification solutions.
• Coordinate specifications with drawings, BIM models and technical documentation.
• Advise on material selection, construction methods and technical compliance.
• Support projects across multiple RIBA work stages.
• Lead projects and mentor junior team members (Senior level).
• Contribute to business development, repeat business and process improvements (Senior level).
