Job summary

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a highly motivated physiotherapist to join the Learning Disabilities Service based with the Halton Community Learning Disability Team, covering Widnes and Runcorn. You will work within a multidisciplinary team providing specialist assessment and intervention for people with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Qualifications

• Current registration with HCPC as a Physiotherapist.
• Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy and related clinical training.
• Experience and/or additional education in relevant field to post-graduate level.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical leadership within your area of specialism and implement best practice.
• Undertake timely holistic assessments of patients, considering functional and environmental factors.
• Deliver autonomous and MDT-supported assessments and interventions.
• Plan, develop and evaluate Physiotherapy services within a designated area/team.
• Maintain high-quality care and support for complex caseloads using evidence-based practice.
