Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the North East Mental Health Inpatient OT Service at Stobhill Mental Health Campus. The post is a permanent, full-time role (36 hours) working Monday to Friday 08:30–16:30, providing expert assessment, intervention and discharge planning within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a Practice Education Qualification.
• Up-to-date mandatory and statutory training (e.g. Fire Safety, Moving and Handling).

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a complex caseload with specialist OT assessment and intervention.
• Work within a multidisciplinary and multi-agency environment to support recovery and discharge planning.
• Provide supervision to junior staff and contribute to staff education.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to governance and quality improvement.
