Job summary

BNY in Manchester, United Kingdom, is seeking a Senior Specialist, Client Processing, to join the Wealth Services Operations Asset Movement Team. You will process asset transfers, review instructions for accuracy, and ensure compliance with risk and control standards in a high-volume environment.

You will liaise with custodians, brokers, and internal teams, resolving exceptions and aging items while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, asset servicing, wealth services, securities processing, or asset movement-related functions.
• Strong understanding of asset movement processes, controls, and operational risks.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume processing accurately.
• Effective problem-solving and investigation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Familiarity with Excel pivots, lookups and data analysis on large data sets.
• Awareness of digital tooling and AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Process asset transfers accurately and within agreed service levels, including inbound, outbound, internal, and external asset movement activity
• Review asset movement instructions for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to operational procedures and control requirements
• Investigate and resolve exceptions, breaks, rejected instructions, and aging items in a timely manner.
• Liaise with internal teams, counterparties, custodians, brokers, and other stakeholders to progress asset movement activity and resolve issues
• Complete all activity in accordance with risk and control standards, escalation procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for all asset movement-related activities
• Identify process inefficiencies, recurring issues, and control gaps, and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Contribute to team reporting, audit requests, procedural reviews, and manager-assigned operational projects
