Job summary
NewLaw Solicitors in Cardiff is seeking a Specialist Claims Skills and Development Manager to lead the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams, designing training and ensuring high standards across the practice.
You will develop programmes to build technical expertise, raise the profile of Specialist Claims internally and externally, and ensure accreditation is maintained. The role requires a Grade A Solicitor or Legal Executive with 8+ years PQE and a current practising certificate.
Qualifications
- Grade A Solicitor or Legal Executive with 8+ years PQE in Clinical Negligence and/or Personal Injury.
- Current Practising Certificate.
- Mentoring/Coaching qualification is advantageous.
- Excellent technical knowledge of specialist injury claims.
Responsibilities
- Develop training programmes for Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams.
- Raise the profile of Specialist Claims internally and externally.
- Ensure file handlers meet high standards to compete in the field.
- Set training plans to develop specialist skills across the team.
- Develop team members as specialists across technical areas.
- Encourage external accreditation where appropriate for specialist skills.
- Maintain APIL accreditation status through membership criteria.
