Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Specialist Senior Business Development Manager to grow our Specialist Products portfolio, build strategic relationships with intermediaries and corporate clients, and win new business in the large UK market.

Field based across the UK with regular nationwide travel, you will lead complex tenders, shape product positioning and work with Product, Proposition and Marketing to enhance offerings while ensuring compliant customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development and strategic sales within a regulated environment.
• Strong track record of building long-term commercial relationships with clients, intermediaries or partners.
• Experience delivering revenue and growth targets.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with senior-level presenting experience.
• Commercially astute with ability to identify opportunities and growth plans.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities in the Specialist Products market.
• Develop strategic relationships with intermediaries, partners and corporate clients.
• Deliver new business, revenue, registrations and growth targets.
• Lead and support complex tender processes with high-quality customer experience.
• Articulate Bupa's value proposition and position products in a competitive market.
• Facilitate successful implementation and handover to Account Management.
• Collaborate with Product, Proposition and Marketing to shape future offerings.
• Ensure activity adheres to regulatory requirements and delivers good customer outcomes.
