Job summary

Global seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to own the technical outcome of complex space missions, coordinating with sales engineering to ensure mission requirements are valid and scope is well defined.

You will translate high-level requirements into lower-level specs, oversee verification and testing, and lead external and internal teams to resolve discrepancies, ensuring mission success.

Qualifications

• BSc in Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field.
• 5+ years in a technical engineering discipline or as a systems engineer for complex systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of space systems and remote operations.

Responsibilities

• Take overall technical ownership of Space/Ground Systems from development through on-orbit verification.
• Lead requirements management for missions or programs, including validation and verification.
• Lead technical risk management, including identification, mitigation, and resolution.
• Develop top-level requirements and flow-down to lower levels with experts.
• Serve as primary technical point of contact to customers and contractors.
• Communicate customer requirements and experiences to internal teams.
• Develop knowledge of satellite platforms, operations systems, and payloads.
• Inform program managers of changes in scope or performance impact.
• Develop and maintain mission documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support sales engineering in budgets, feasibility, and scope during sales cycles.
