Job summary

Spire Global seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to own the technical outcomes of complex space missions, from development to on-orbit verification. You will lead requirements, manage risks, and coordinate across disciplines, serving as the main technical contact for customers and contractors.

Hybrid work model required with at least three days in the office weekly. Candidates should have a strong background in space systems and multi-discipline engineering leadership, including liaison with sales

Qualifications

• BSc in Engineering, Computer Science, STEM-related subject, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years in a technical engineering discipline or as a systems engineer for complex integrated systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of space systems, concepts of operations, and remote systems operation.

Responsibilities

• Take overall technical ownership of Spire Space and/or Ground Systems from development through on-orbit verification.
• Lead requirements management for a mission or program, including development, validation, verification, and change management.
• Lead technical risk management for a mission or program, including identification, qualification, mitigation, and resolution.
• Develop top-level requirements and flow-down to lower levels in collaboration with discipline leads and SMEs.
• Serve as the primary Spire technical POC to customers and contractors, communicating on behalf of internal teams.
