Job summary

The University of Edinburgh invites applications for a Grade UE08 position in Estates Development / Corporate Services Group. This role leads a data-led approach to space intelligence, with autonomy to develop analytical methods and modern BI tools that turn data into strategic insight for estate decisions.

You will manage specialist staff, shape the Estates Strategy, and foster innovation and continuous improvement.

Grade UE08: £50,253 to £61,759 per annum

Estates Development / Corporate Services Group

Full time: 35 hours per week

Open ended: permanent

The Opportunity:

Alongside your technical and strategic responsibilities, you will provide strong people leadership, managing and developing specialist staff and creating a culture where high-quality analysis, innovation and continuous improvement are embedded in the way the team operates.

This is an opportunity to establish and shape a modern, data-led approach to space intelligence. You will have the autonomy and influence to develop new analytical approaches, introduce innovative business intelligence and visualisation tools, and ensure that data becomes a strategic asset in delivering the University's Estates Strategy.

The University holds a significant and complex physical estate, and the quality of the decisions we make about that estate depends increasingly on the quality of the data and insight available to us.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
