Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is seeking an Associate Director in TAS Tax to provide advanced tax structuring for buy-side and sell-side private equity transactions, and to lead due diligence for PE and corporate clients in the UK. You will partner with FDD and SPA advisory teams to ensure alignment with commercial goals.

The role requires strong UK tax know-how, client management, and the ability to manage multiple deliverables with deadlines.

Qualifications

• Qualified chartered accountant or tax adviser with UK tax grounding.
• Experience in UK corporation tax compliance and M&A.
• Experience advising on technical tax matters.
• Strong client handling and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax structuring on buy- and sell-side transactions for PE and corporate clients.
• Undertake tax due diligence for private equity and corporate clients.
• Collaborate with FDD and SPA Advisory teams to align work.
• Prepare and review tax structuring reports with key implications.
• Lead due diligence meetings and oversee analysis for final reviews.
• Support business development and prepare proposals for new work.
• Manage project budgets and ensure timely invoicing and debt collection.
• Develop team through ongoing training and mentoring.
