Job summary

Warner Leisure Hotels is seeking a Senior Sous Chef for Thoresby Hall, a landmark hotel in the Warner Hotels Group. This leadership role supports the Head Chef across a busy, multi-outlet kitchen environment, focusing on quality, menu execution and cost control.

You will lead the kitchen team, manage stock, drive food safety and mentor junior chefs to deliver exceptional guest experiences. The role is based on-site with a strong emphasis on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading in high-volume, branded kitchens.
• Ability to balance operational delivery with team development.
• Strong focus on quality, consistency and guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen team alongside Head Chef and oversee day-to-day operations.
• Own key kitchen functions: menu execution, stock control and compliance.
• Coach and develop junior chefs to build a high-performance culture.
• Drive food safety and hygiene to meet regulations.
• Manage inventory, control food costs and support financial targets.
• Cover Head Chef in their absence to maintain standards.
