Senior Sous Chef | Northampton central area | Full time

The role |

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspirational leader, creating a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support in coaching and developing your team to excel, while driving restaurant performance and delivering excellent results.

Responsibilities include |

  • Creating a caring and supportive environment, celebrating successes, and nurturing talent within your team.
  • Ensuring an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards in food preparation and team skills.
  • Maintaining spotless food, health, and safety standards, understanding financial performance including gross profit, stock control, and labour costs.
  • Building a coaching culture, recruiting, and developing your team for personal and professional growth.
  • Being a proactive problem solver, making quick decisions on your feet.

What we look for |

  • Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with a caring approach.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, health standards, and financial management including GP and stock control.
  • Ability to manage labour costs and adapt to changing demands.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and engage your team.
  • Passion for creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and valued.
  • Problem-solving skills and quick decision-making ability.
