Andela is building a modern Sales Engineering function that helps customers solve complex technology and organizational challenges across our portfolio.

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will lead technical discovery, translate ambiguous business needs into technical and delivery requirements, shape solutions across Andela’s portfolio, and help ensure that what we sell can be successfully delivered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong technical fluency across modern software development, cloud architecture, data platforms, APIs, and AI-enabled systems.
• Familiarity with modern AI technologies such as generative AI, LLM-based applications, agents, retrieval systems, AI-assisted software development.
• Strong customer-facing communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to engage both senior business stakeholders and deeply technical audiences.
• This is not a full-time software engineering role, but strong technical curiosity is important.
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead technical discovery and translate ambiguous business problems into practical solution approaches.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Delivery, Product, Engineering, or related teams.
• Experience with managed services, technical assessments, training/enablement, data engineering, or enterprise technology solutions is a plus.
• 6+ years of relevant professional experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or related customer-facing technical roles.
• Builder mindset and comfort operating in evolving environments with developing processes and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and qualification with business and technical stakeholders to understand objectives, environments, constraints, capabilities, and outcomes.
• Shape customer solutions by developing initial recommendations around architecture, scope, delivery model, team structure, technical requirements, timelines, risks and dependencies.
• Work across Andela’s portfolio to determine whether Talent Solutions, AI Solutions, Learning & Assessment are the best fit for the customer.
• Bring technical depth to the sales process, including architecture discussions, demonstrations, workshops, prototypes, proposals, and RFPs.
• Partner closely with Delivery and specialist teams to validate proposed approaches before commitments.
• Contribute to Sales Engineering technology and methodology, including AI-assisted qualification and discovery frameworks.
