Job summary

Okta UK&I is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to support our Auth0 Identity Platform. You will partner with the sales team to gather customer requirements, design demonstrations, and drive technical wins across a diverse customer base in the UK.

The role combines hands-on technical work with business insight and daily collaboration with customers and executives. You will maintain in-depth knowledge of the Auth0 product line, engage in regional events, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a pre-sales or Solutions Engineer role.
• Ability to articulate complex ideas on the fly, on a whiteboard.
• Experience in customer-facing consulting, support, teaching, or pre-sales.
• Experience with identity protocols (OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, LDAP).
• Strong backend stack knowledge (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby) and frontend (React, Angular, Vue).
• Experience with REST APIs and SDKs.
• Understanding of core security concerns in applications (hashing, TLS, encryption).
• Excellent communication and ability to share knowledge with a skilled audience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive discovery to understand customer requirements and business outcomes.
• Deal progression in partnership with the sales team to push opportunities forward.
• Manage technical sales progression from discovery to technical win.
• Create sales presentations and product demos; educate customers from developers to executives on cloud security.
• Build and deliver custom demonstrations and support PoCs.
• Maintain broad technical knowledge of Auth0 product lines and underlying tech.
• Engage in local and regional sales and marketing events.
