Job summary

Okta in London is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to partner with the sales team and guide customers through discovery, demos and PoCs, translating business needs into technical solutions.

You will maintain deep knowledge of the Auth0 product line, engage in regional events, and communicate complex ideas to developers, product managers and executives. The role supports a hybrid London office with two in-person days weekly.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Pre-Sales/Solutions Engineer role.
• Ability to articulate complex technical topics on the fly.
• Experience in customer-facing roles such as consulting, support, teaching, or pre-sales.
• Experience with at least one standard identity protocol (e.g. OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, LDAP).
• Strong development background in a backend stack (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby) and frontend stack (React, Angular, Vue).
• Experience working with REST APIs and SDKs.
• Understanding of core security concerns in typical applications (password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, XSRF).
• Excellent communication and ability to convey business value.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive discovery of customer requirements in the context of desired business outcomes.
• Deal progression with the sales team to advance opportunities.
• Manage technical sales progression from discovery to technical win.
• Build sales presentations, product demonstrations and educate customers on cloud security tech.
• Hands-on solution validation with custom demonstrations and PoCs.
• Discern true technical needs by asking detailed questions and presenting targeted solutions.
• Advise customers on what is possible using Auth0 and the Auth0 product line.
• Maintain broad/deep technical understanding of Auth0 technologies and protocols.
• Engage proactively in local and regional sales/marketing events.
