Job description

Senior Solutions Architect

Up to £79,300 per year

Hybrid - Midlands / East of England with travel across our geography as required

Permanent, Full Time

At Amplius, we're on a mission to deliver homes that make a difference. As a fresh and forward-focused social housing provider, we prioritise tenant safety, sustainability, and smart property investment.

In our Senior Solutions Architect role, you'll be playing a crucial role in our journey to migrate our legacy systems onto Dynamics CE across the business. Off the back of our recent merger, there are additional legacy systems that will also be incorporated into Microsoft Dynamics CE as part of journey into a singular ERP system. This is a hugely exciting opportunity to help shape our Dynamics CE journey as the design authority and Dynamics CE expert for Amplius.

This role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with occasional visits to some of our offices, ensuring collaboration with colleagues and staying connected with the wider team.
  • Location: Hybrid - Midlands / East of England with travel across our geography as required
  • Salary: Up to £79,300 per year
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Your week: 36.25 hours p/week (9am - 5.15pm Monday to Friday, with 1-hour lunch)

Snapshot of your role

This is what your day will look like as our Senior Solutions Architect:
  • Working with Business Analysts, Project Managers and System Developers to assess legacy system functionality across Amplius and design new ones to be fed into Dynamics CE.
  • Taking feeds and requirements from Business Analysts, subsequently documenting the designs and converting into solutions to be fed to our System Developers.
  • Act as the primary go-to for solution architecture design, defining designs for moderate and major programs and projects, whilst acting as peer review for minor changes.
  • Feeding any new Dynamics CE functionality and capability into the business, taking advantage of opportunities to improve overall system and business performance.
  • Oversight, through to deployment, of solutions to ensure the consistency of design - as well as providing guidance and support to Developers as and when necessary.

Your toolkit for success

To thrive in our Senior Solutions Architect role, you'll need:
  • Extensive experience of Microsoft Dynamics CE - specifically around the design, configuration and UI.
  • To have strong, previous experience of working as a Solution Architect, operating in a consultative design capacity.
  • To be able to interpret business requirements to carry out functional analysis, and then influence decision making with strong communication.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement - being able to translate complex requirements into "easy to understand" solutions.

Perks of working at Amplius

As we navigate this transitional period and work towards developing the colleague benefits we will offer as Amplius, we want to reassure colleagues applying for internal vacancies that there will be no changes to their current benefits if they are successful in securing a new role.

Successful colleagues will receive the salary associated with their new role, but all other legacy terms and benefits will remain unchanged (including holiday, pension and car allowance provision, for example, which will remain consistent with your legacy benefit entitlement).

We hope this provides clarity and confidence for anyone considering a new opportunity within the organisation during this time of change. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to People Services.
