Job summary

EPAM Systems Ltd in London is seeking a Senior Solution Architect & Technology Consultant to join our hybrid team. You will lead architecture initiatives for major clients, particularly in Financial Services and Insurance, helping translate strategy into scalable digital platforms.

You will balance innovation with practical delivery, mentor UK teams and collaborate with global delivery units to drive values and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a hands-on Senior or Lead Solution Architect with expertise in software engineering, platform delivery, architecture design and digital transformation.
• Extensive experience designing scalable solutions with focus on security, availability, resilience and low-latency performance.
• Industry consulting experience within Financial Services or Insurance with knowledge of platforms and capabilities.
• Strong proficiency in cloud services (AWS, Azure or GCP) and microservices, REST APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Demonstrated pre-sales experience including RFP responses and proofs of concept.
• Ability to link technology choices to business value for large-scale transformation.
• Leadership skills guiding distributed architecture and engineering teams.
• Excellent client-facing consulting skills and ability to advise senior stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture initiatives from strategy through go-live across multiple sectors.
• Hands-on technologist designing, prototyping and integrating modern digital solutions.
• Balance rapid innovation with technical feasibility and long-term sustainability.
• Partner with architecture, technology consulting, delivery management, product and development teams across geographies.
• Provide technical governance including architectural reviews, roadmaps and audits; drive efficiency improvements.
• Create and present architecture proposals, proofs of concept and support pre-sales including RFPs.
• Help clients improve software delivery, code quality and engineering effectiveness.
• Act as liaison between architects, delivery managers, product owners and multi-vendor teams.
• Mentor team members and grow UK practice capabilities.
• Represent the company at conferences and client workshops to boost visibility.
