Job summary

La Fosse is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to translate business needs into scalable, secure technology designs aligned with enterprise standards. You will bridge strategy and delivery, producing comprehensive architectural artefacts and guiding delivery teams through implementation.

You will lead architecture reviews, define API standards and integration patterns, and collaborate across Data, Platform, Security and Product Architecture groups to ensure compliant, high-quality

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to play a key role in designing and delivering technology solutions that address business needs while aligning with enterprise architecture principles and standards.

Reporting to the Head of Architecture, you will work closely with architects, product teams, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and fit for purpose. You will bridge the gap between strategic architecture and hands-on delivery, translating business requirements into robust technical designs and providing architectural leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into solution designs aligned with enterprise architecture standards and strategic objectives.
• Produce architecture artefacts including High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), integration designs, and technical specifications.
• Support delivery teams with architectural guidance during implementation and help resolve complex technical challenges.
• Conduct architecture reviews across projects and change initiatives, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices.
• Design and govern end-to-end integration solutions across a broad enterprise application landscape.
• Define API standards, messaging patterns, data contracts, and integration frameworks.
• Architect secure and compliant data flows, ensuring alignment with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Assess technology options and provide recommendations on build-versus-buy decisions.
• Lead proof-of-concepts and technical evaluations to validate architectural approaches.
• Define and validate non-functional requirements including scalability, resilience, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with Data, Platform, Security, and Product Architecture teams to ensure solution alignment.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, decision records, and governance artefacts.
• Present solution designs to architecture and change governance forums for review and approval.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to technical leads and subject matter experts on architecture principles and best practices.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in Solution Architecture, Technical Architecture, or a senior software engineering/design role.
• Strong background designing and delivering integration solutions across enterprise environments.
• Excellent understanding of API-led architecture, messaging technologies, and integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure services such as App Services, Functions, API Management, and Service Bus.
• Strong understanding of security architecture, information protection, and data governance principles.
• Experience with relational databases and enterprise data integration patterns.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery approaches.
• Experience defining and managing non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, resilience, and availability.
• Ability to produce clear architecture documentation and technical specifications.
• Experience evaluating third-party products, suppliers, and technology solutions.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or equivalent.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working within professional services, legal services, financial services, or other highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of enterprise business applications including ERP, CRM, document management, and workflow platforms.
• Experience contributing to architecture governance processes and technology strategy.
