Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy seeks a Construction Manager to lead on-site execution of utility-scale solar projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. You will coordinate with PMs, mobilize teams, and manage subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires extensive construction leadership, strong knowledge of EPC contracts, and readiness to relocate to project sites. A driver’s license and proven field experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum of 10+ years of progressively responsible construction experience.
• Prior experience on utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of EPC contracts, construction sequencing, and field execution.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (MVR).
• Interpersonal skills to supervise and present information to many employees.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio).
• Experience with construction drawings and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for safe, high-quality field execution.
• Lead pre-planning, mobilization, and execution per the Project Execution Plan.
• Maintain strong field presence to audit activities and engage crews.
• Ensure safety compliance and PPE requirements.
• Ensure work meets engineering, contractual, owner, and internal quality requirements.
• Lead POD, weekly planning, and three-week look-ahead meetings.
• Review production, productivity, and cost against budget and schedule.
• Manage subcontractor performance and recovery planning.
• Support commissioning, punch lists, closeout, and demobilization.
• Coach and mentor supervisors and staff.
