Rolls-Royce is seeking a Software Tech SME to provide technical leadership across design, development, and delivery of software solutions from conception to deployment. You will govern architecture, enforce coding standards, and guide the team to deliver high-quality, secure applications in an agile environment.

The role requires strong expertise in Java/C#/Python/JavaScript, familiarity with .NET and cloud platforms (Azure, GCP), and a proven track record in driving code quality and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in software development with a proven track record of technical leadership.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, .NET, etc.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of software applications and systems.
• Make architectural decisions and ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure high-quality product platforms.
• Ensure code quality and governance using tools like SonarQube.
• Define and enforce coding standards, architecture guidelines, and best practices.
• Review and provide feedback on code quality for performance, security, and maintainability.
• Transform user requirements into technical specifications and manage releases to live products.
• Oversee unit, integration, and system testing to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
