Rolls-Royce is seeking a Software Tech SME to provide technical leadership across the full software lifecycle. You’ll shape design, governance, and architecture for high‑quality solutions while guiding teams through development to deployment and live support.

You will lead quality assurance activities, influence tool choices, and ensure adherence to security standards. Strong collaboration and mentoring are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Extensive software development experience with proven technical leadership.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, and .NET ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in design, development, and delivery of software applications and systems.
• Set architectural direction and ensure best practices, coding standards, and security guidelines.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes for high‑quality product platforms.
• Ensure code quality and governance using tools like SonarQube.
• Mentor team and troubleshoot issues to resolve problems efficiently.
• Define and enforce coding standards, architecture guidelines, and best practices.
• Ensure adherence to Agile methods and participate in sprint ceremonies.
• Transform user requirements into technical specifications.
• Manage release processes from development to live deployment.
