Job summary

Our Future Health in London is hiring a backend-leaning Senior Software Engineer to join the Research Enablement squad. You will own backend services, APIs, and security tooling while contributing to frontend work as needed in a total ownership model.

The role emphasizes cloud hosted apps, TypeScript/Node.js, PostgreSQL, and infrastructure as code with Terraform. Hybrid work with monthly in-person meetups at the Holborn office.

Qualifications

• Experience building cloud-hosted web apps in start-up/public/charity settings.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, Node.js and PostgresSQL.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, React, WebAssembly and Python is a plus.
• Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP and Terraform.
• Strong data modelling and relational DB knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend and frontend features for secure research environments.
• Build and maintain APIs, event-driven services and tooling.
